Progress - Week of Feb. 8th - 14th

    Meetings
    This week we met Tuesday February 10th prior to our presentation to tie up any loose ends of our presentation as well as do a walkthrough of each of our slides. We then met again Wednesday February 11th to divide up this upcoming project and attempt to find anything that might require extra time.

    Status of Old/Current Tasks:
    This week we had scheduled our first presentation, we feel we were prepared for and had a good showing. After the completion of our presentation we met with our mentor groups to review the next assignment.

    Upcoming Tasks:
    The upcoming project entails a good bit of detailed number crunching and review of the prints in greater detail. We have begun to do a takeoff and will be meeting with Professor Mills to renew our On Screen Takeoff license so that we can have visual proof of our work.

    Issues/ Group Problems
    Thus far we haven’t had any issues within our group. We realize that we all have commitments and scheduling conflicts but have been open minded and kept strong communication to insure that our work doesn’t fall behind.

    Site Visit Observations:
    This week we did not visit the site.

    Meetings

    Team J2 met today in Bishop Favrao Hall at 11 o’clock. The team discussed a game plan for completing assignment 2. All team members were present.

    Status of Old/Current Tasks:

    We successfully split up the tasks for assignment 2. Mike Avallon and Chris Edwards are going to begin to takeoff the duct work, and Drew McPheeters and Erik Santmyer are going to takeoff the piping. Brent Brown is going to keep track of peculiar items and their affect on the quantity takeoff. Additionally, Drew McPheeters and Chris Gray will prepare a preliminary schedule based on the quantity takeoff. We plan on meeting next Tuesday with progress reports.

    Issues/ Group Problems

    Team J2 needs to make sure that the communication between each member is sufficient. We need to contact each other with progress reports as tasks are completed. We also need to coordinate with each other so that if anyone has any trouble completing their tasks, other team members can assist them in completing their task.

    Site Visit Observations:

    No site visits were taken by the group this week.
